Place2Be was selected as our corporate charity in 2014, since then we have raised a staggering £43,626 for them!
Place2Be
Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity that provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools through talking, creative work and play. Many of the children it helps, are suffering from complex issues such as bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.
The charity works with 282 different primary and secondary schools, reaching a school population of 116,000 children.
Our Chairman Kevin Taylor, chose Place2Be as our corporate charity in 2014, as it’s a cause which is very close to his heart.
Fundraising
Fundraising events take place across the business, both in our offices and on site. From abseiling to baking, our colleagues have done it all!
All of the money raised is matched by the company, so Place2Be receives double the donations. In addition to supporting Place2Be in-house, we promote the charity to our supply chain and encourage them to help. Many of our supply chain members have donated prizes for raffles and we thank them for their continued support.
McLaren has an excellent relationship with Place2Be and will continue supporting the charity and the vital work they do in schools across the country.
