The role itself will report directly into the Head of Marketing, also closely supporting the Communications Business Partner across a wealth of activities. The breakdown below covers the primary and secondary areas of focus day-to-day:

Primary responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Marketing and comms team in all internal and external activities
  • Social Media – Help the team to create content and for social media pages and marketing content libraries
  • Copywriting – Contributing to marketing materials and literature, internal communications website content, intranet stories, brochures, presentations and press releases
  • Helping to organise and manage corporate and project events / exhibitions

Further expansion of role and skills needed:

  • Internal communications leadership – Primary marketing person to lead engagement with internal departments to develop ongoing internal comms
  • Help to evaluate internal and external marketing campaigns (and website performance) using Google analytics and Mailchimp
  • Website management – Help to keep content current with the rest of the team
  • Regularly reporting on social media, website and internal / external campaign performance
  • Liaise with graphic designers – Creating briefs and giving creative direction
  • Help with storyboarding video content and managing video production team output
  • Encourage other departments in the organisation to take part in promotional activity
  • Booking and managing photography (for events, employees and projects)
  • Helping to manage OpenAsset, our company image library
  • Managing our merchandise stock processing orders
