McLaren Construction secures contract for luxury boutique hotel with Crosstree Real Estate Partners

McLaren Construction has been awarded a cut and carve refurbishment and extension contract with investor and developer Crosstree to transform the iconic Camden Town Hall Annexe into a 270 bedroomed boutique hotel.

Designed by ORMS with Interior design by Shawn Hausman of LA and London based Archer Humphreys Architects, the hotel will be formed through extensive internal and external renovation, the scheme will also involve the construction of three new floors, in the form of a steel frame box, on top of the existing structure. The building’s separated west stair core will also be removed to open up a new north-south route at ground level through Tonbridge passage.

Phil Pringle, Managing Director McLaren Construction said: “This is the first contract McLaren Construction has secured with Crosstree Real Estate Partners. We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting project and look forward to increasing our position in the ‘high end’ hotel sector and bringing our expertise to deliver this quality boutique hotel.’’

The location is situated on the main Euston Road, opposite St Pancras International, therefore being logistically challenging.
