McLaren Construction named Digital Contractor of the Year!

Key points
McLaren Construction are proud to have been named Digital Contractor of the Year at the Digital Construction Awards last night, recognising our investment in digital capability and the tangible impact it is having on how we win, manage and deliver projects across the business.
The award reflects our clear focus on innovation, consistency and performance at every stage of the project lifecycle.
Central to this achievement is our Project Control Plan, a bespoke digital project governance application designed to support projects from tender through to handover.
The PCP acts as a single source of truth for management of risk, integrating activity schedules, risk management, competency oversight and reporting into one consistent digital framework whilst providing an overview of the project team’s competency. It also integrates with other core platforms through the data lakehouse (MicrosoftFabric), surfacing key reporting metrics to improve decision-making at alllevels of the business.
What the judges said, “A highly impressive and mature digital transformation. A good overall digital strategy, showcasing tangible benefits to business operation and strong senior level endorsement and buy-in. The benefits are particularly compelling.”
Developed as part of McLaren’s five-year digital strategy, the PCP is already transforming the way our teams collaborate, manage risk andmaintain control, helping us to deliver with confidence for our customers.
Once deployed across our entire project portfolio, the PCP is expected to provide the business with annual savings of around £1m through refined reporting structures, bringing efficiency and productivity gains.
This award is a powerful endorsement of the teams behind our digital strategy and a testament to the progress we are making as we continue to invest in smarter, more connected ways of working.
