McLaren Construction is pleased to announce it has appointed John Butten as the Commercial Director (Major Projects).
In line with expansion plans over the forthcoming years, McLaren has the desire to secure a number of high value schemes within the commercial, retail, leisure and residential sectors.
John Butten starts his new career with McLaren after 24 years at Balfour Beatty, having been most recently Commercial Director for Balfour Beatty Major Projects for London and South. John comes with a wealth of experience, including the Olympic Games Aquatic Centre contract negotiation, the new High Holborn Head Quarters for Amazon through AXA Developments and the leading bid and negotiation on Providence Wharf for Ballymore, a 45 storey residential tower in the Docklands.
John will assist McLaren in its aim to continue to be the contractor who ‘exceeds expectations’ and increases its market share by including a focus upon major projects.
Phil Pringle, Managing Director McLaren Construction, said: “The key appointment of John Butten underpins our business plan commitment and desire to strategically secure large scale projects in Central London and UK wide with both existing and new customers. John will commercially lead our major projects division and bring with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that will further enhance the business moving forward.”
