Delivered on behalf of Lendlease and Invesco Real Estate the redevelopment includes a 140,000 sq ft extension of additional space at the first and second levels. This includes the creation of a ten screen, 40,000 sq ft Empire Cinema complex on the second level, new retail and food and beverage units with a new front of house circulation.
The project involved the alteration and demolition of the existing concrete frame structure, with a new steel frame structure built on top to provide the extension.
This redevelopment of Queensgate Shopping Centre will provide an exciting new cultural hub for the local people and visitors of Peterborough. The new facility will also create 200 new jobs for the local people.
